Unlock the secret mysteries of Lightning! This educational and very entertaining show on lightning consists of an introduction by SPARKY, the computerized animated robot, followed by a half hour video and then a question and answer session. The show concludes with a spectacular display and live demonstration of over one million volts of man-made artificial lightning and is reminiscent of an old fashioned traveling science show! This show has been engineered for all ages and covers many of the more interesting aspects of this fascinating subject. The show also explains how to protect yourself from one of natures most powerful and dangerous forces. We are a privately owned, operated and unfunded public out-reach program intended to inspire, educate, and promote the advancement of the Sciences.

Owens' Historic Microphone Collection

A collection of famous and historic microphones. Included are the microphones used on the Jack Benny Show, the Red Skelton Show, All in the Family, Maude and the Flintstones. Also on display are microphones used by Mel Blanc as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and all the great Warner Brothers cartoon characters. Part of this wonderful collection of microphones was donated to the museum by Mel Blancs' son Noel.
